We don’t even celebrate this cheesy holiday, but then when I saw this photo I just had to share it with you. Matthias Meierer of Weingut Meierer posted this photo of a vine on the Mosel on his Facebook page and I am hereby shamelessly stealing it:
It’s the classic way of binding vine branches in winter along the Mosel, and for any romantic wine lover, there is nothing like seeing a whole vineyard bound like this…
So here we go: Happy Valentine’s Day!
Uh, Oliver, it is a chocolatey holiday not a cheesy one. ;)
Hahahaha, true. Maybe I would like it better if it was in fact a cheesy holiday. :)
We don’t celebrate it either (for the same reason you don’t). Or rather, we never have celebrated it. But this year Ken got sappy and surprised me with a very cool gift.
I think he was just looking for an excuse to give the gift, once he found it in an antique store, and Valentine’s Day was the opportunity he was looking for. It sure was an unexpected surprise, and very fun.
I totally know where Ken is coming from! Once I buy a gift for Nina, it is SO hard to wait until her birthday or whatever else occasion it is. I have given it early many times…:) Hope you’re feeling better!!
